The article deals with personnel preparation within the Ministry of Defence of the Czech Republic aimed at career courses of professional soldiers. It describes the levels of career courses and assigns them to the levels of the management system within the Ministry of Defence of the Czech Republic. It presents career courses as a tool for meeting the requirements of the career system. It provides basic information about the senior officers' course - the combined form of study and outlines the changes in basic instructional documentation.
