Intention of the Conference is to raise a discussion on topical issues related to broader security and defence agenda stemming from challenges in operating environment and their impact on military operations. The complexity and instability of current operating environment naturally implies a whole range of matters related to preparation, planning and conducting military operations. The main goal is to share state of the art knowledge regarding future strategic trends, possible consequences for stakeholders as well as the challenges for commanders and leaders involved in future operations. We would like to steer our discussion towards the topical issues of the operating environment, taking into account impact of new technologies, and share critical aspects of methodological approaches and best practices to assessment of operating environment employing combination of cutting-edge methods. TOPICS ADDRESSED Future strategic trends and the operating environment Critical aspects of the operating environment evaluation Implications for all actors involved New challenges for commanders and leaders The picture of the future battlefield and risk mitigation The balance between a human factor and new technologies
