Air mobility establishes prerequisites for rapid and flexible conduct of operations. Air transport is the most expensive means of transport with regard to the number of personnel and material transported. However it will play an essential role in case oftransporting parts of contingents having limited time for deployment in areas with remote seaports as well as during evacuation. It enables operational commanders to react quickly to unexpected enemy actions on the battlefield. Commanders and staff mustbe trained in peacetime in order to manage the preparation and conduct of air transport. Officers´ training must be aimed at air transport planning. Non-commissioned officers must be trained to control activities of loading/unloading groups during the loading/unloading and placement of materials and vehicles aboard aircraft and helicopters.
