This paper is a contribution to a further development of outsourcing relationship in the logistic support of military operations and to a better understanding of the civilian contractors´ role, tasks and share in the system of logistic support. Furthermore it deals with the integration of outside resources into the environment of military missions and operations. The reasons for bringing contemporary armies towards utilizating of civilian support are given here too. Last but not the least the paper analyzes the advantages, disadvantages and risks of third-party logistic support in armed conflicts.
