An article shortly characterizes both the artillery fire control preparation process and the content of its particular components in the Army of the Czech Republic. Based on the brief analysis of random shot errors it gives reasons to deal with the analysis of particular activities during the fire control preparation process and to seek the opportunities of particular errors reducing to increase an accuracy of the artillery fire. The article proposes some arrangements of artillery reconnaissance as fortarget acquisition, topographical-geodetical preparation, ballistic preparation, and meteorological preparation to reduce time of total fire preparation and to decrease errors coming of during particular measurements of fire control preparation.
