Electronic reverse auctions in public procurement of the Czech republic

The paper is focused on electronic reverse auctions operation within contracting authorities of the Czech Republic practice. Legal framework synthesis based on the EU directive and our Act on public contracts summarizes the main rules of e-auctions use in the public sector and forms the starting point for statistical analysis of e-auctions organizing frequency. It has been proven via chi-square goodness of fit test applied to the random sample of e-actions being implemented in last five years within selected categories of goods and services that there are statistically significant differences among these categories from e-auctions frequency point of view. The reasons of the differences and deeper analysis of health care category as the leader in e-auctions frequency will be the subject of the next research. I would like to prove that e-auctions being implemented on selected categories of products and services can bring significant savings in financial resources and wider spectrum of po
