Generation of modular structures within the newly formed task forces (TF) is a phenomenon that is needed to be duly realized, worked-out and implemented. Capabilities planning of armed forces in the Army of Czech Republic can be viewed, within certain extent, as the process of quality management; then, it is necessary to deal with the detailed description of the concrete terms and principles of the quality management further on. My paper describes the considerations on the development of military modular task forces in respect to the capability to be achieved. Capabilities are here dealt with as a product of the armed forces of a certain quality. We are looking for answers to the questions: what is actually the product of the armed forces? Who is the customer of the product of the armed forces (AF) and how we can assess the quality of this product.
