The paper explains general terms such as career, which can be defined as a path in life on which and individual acquires new experiences and realizes personal potential, career change, career transition and related reintegration to the world of work and start of the second career after the voluntary or involuntary termination of the first career. It focuses specifically on career of ex-military servicemen. The difference between regular and military retirement is explained, so as the difficulties that ex-military servicemen go through while trying to adapt to the new environment of civilian labour market. The approaches of solving this problem are outlined and the importance of organizational help, especially the help of Ministry of Defence and state is highlighted.
