Additive Manufacturing in the Army of the Czech Republic
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
This paper deals with the possibilities of the application of Additive Manufacturing (mostly printing of metal) within the Army of Czech Republic (ACR). Using system analysis and brainstorming, the basic steps for the implementation of 3D Printing technology into the selected processes of military logistics are defined with an emphasis on the logistic support of multinational operations. The selection of appropriate metal components and spare parts that are in demand within the Joint Operation Area, and which could be realistic and efficient to print, is also included. The output is the concept of a container workplace with the possibility of printing selected certified metal components/spare parts not only for the needs of the Army of the Czech Republic but also for other NATO armies, which would represent a new capability of the ACR within the NATO.
