Impact of Minefield Rows Spacing on Vehicle Hit Probability in a Simulated Minefield
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
Minefields are critical tools in defensive strategies, designed to impede vehicle movement through spaced anti-vehicle mines. This paper investigates the impact of row spacing on the probability of vehicle passage in a simulated minefield environment. Using Monte Carlo simulations, various configurations of mine placement were modelled with row distances ranging from 1 to 100 meters. The simulation evaluates the likelihood of a vehicle successfully navigating through the minefield while accounting for vehicle width and trajectory variability. Data from these simulations were analyzed and fitted with exponential functions to reveal key patterns and dependencies. Results highlight the non-linear relationship between row spacing and passage probability, providing insights into the optimization of minefield layouts for maximum effectiveness. This approach demonstrates the utility of simulation-based analysis in assessing minefield performance and supports the development of defensive layouts tailored to specific operational needs.
