The article defines the L-159 ALCA aircraft with the capability of carrying armament and equipment for its own defence. Further, the modern features of L-159 (such as glass cockpit with multifunction displays and HOTAS control conception to achieve highlevel of Czech Air Force?s tactical pilots) are mentioned. The possibilities of further modernization are outlined, as well as the possibility of sale of redundant airframes and the possibility of manufacturing of the already prepared L-159B simulator, which is a result of cooperation of several Czech companies.
