The paper deals with the on-the-fly encryption in Source Mage GNU/Linux. Source Mage GNU/Linux is the source-based GNU/Linux distribution. It allows users the maximum amount of freedom and choice possible. Users can build their own unique systems. In paper there are mentioned software packages (spells in Source Mage terminology) which can be easily used for on-the-fly encryption in Source Mage GNU/Linux. There are mentioned spells for encryption all disk or partition like TrueCrypt, dm-crypt, loop-AES,kernel-space cryptographic filesystem eCryptfs and user-space (FUSE based) cryptographic filesystems EncFS and CryptoF.
