The contribution deals with questions of preparation and build-up of the National integrated ATC center of Czech Republic IATCC project. It analyses its main tasks and the idea of joint military and civilian ATC station. The conclusion of the first partconcentrates on the individual phases from the launch of the ATC services till the complete integration into one single subject when both military and civilian personnel will get the same training and achieve the same qualifications. The issue of preparation of air traffic controlers at the University of Defence and the practical training at an air force base is analysed in the next part. The conclusion analyses the fundamentals and the experiences of complex ATC training at Czech Air Force bases.
