The paper is aimed at optimization and description of algorithm used for reconfiguration of time schedule during communication on CAN with CANaerospace protocol using dynamic time-slot assignment method for communication control. Dynamic time-slot assignment approach allows adapting the schedule of transmitting messages by modification of so-called cycle matrix according to current requirements or phase of flight. There are usually individual changes in cycle matrix during operation, but sometimes it isnecessary to change the time-slot layout of entire matrix. Matrix dimensions depend on designer of particular system and in some cases can be relatively large. Changeover from the present matrix on a new one can be in such a case difficult. However, even when small matrix of small dimensions is used, the changeover should be optimal. The paper deals with a design of changeover algorithm, shows particular problems and their solution ensuring smooth operation of whole system.
