INTERACTION BETWEEN PROJECTILE DRIVING BAND AND BARREL FORCING CONE DURING T72 TANK CANNON LOADING PROCESS
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
This paper deals with engraving process of driving band of artillery projectile in course of ramming. Geometrical-mathematical model of interaction problem (contact problem) between projectile driving band and forcing cone are established and solved by using simulation of ANSYS Workbench software (Finite Element Method). Research results, such as deformations and stress fields and reaction forces of the process are shown in form of graphs, charts and animation files. Calculation and simulation are performed on the 125 mm T72 tank cannon with the HEAT, APFSDS, and HE projectiles. Reaction forces of the interaction process are verified by experiments on the T72 tank cannon and the HEAT projectiles. The calculation results are comparable with the experimental results with reasonable deviations from 5% to 7%. Research results serve also as background to upgrade the state-of-the-art knowledge to the STANAG and the Czech Defence Standard (COS) regarding of ramming device of artillery weapons
