For an effective fighters´ employment, time and timely passed information are significant factors during decision making process of the command and control chain. The text describes activities performed during each phase of this process and circumstances, what must be considered to send tactical aircraft into a successful action. Interceptor flight phases, in logical order, are given to relation to the target behaviour and are generally explained. Increase efficiency of the whole decision making processcould be reached by integration of a tool calculating an interceptor profile and possibilities into C2 systems.
