The paper deals with the operation and maintenance of vehicles of the Dopravní podnik města Brna (DPMB). The main objective of this paper is to evaluate the economic efficiency of the operation and maintenance of transport vehicles of DPMB and subsequent proposal of model that increases the effectiveness in the area examined. The theoretical part deals with the basic terminology and is served as the basis for the practical part. The practical part describes the current state of the transport vehicle of DPMB, examines and evaluates the current economic efficiency of the operation and maintenance of vehicles of the selected company. Based on the research results, the new model of economic efficiency of the operation and maintenance of DPMB is proposed. To verify the accuracy of the model, the data from DPMB was applied, allowing the verification of accuracy and functionality of the model, while there was a time to determine the optimal exchange of vehicles. At the same time, the paper has evaluated the economic performance compared to the existing and proposed temporal variation.
