INTERACTION FORCES BETWEEN 3BM-9 PROJECTILE AND BARREL BORE
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
Interaction forces between the projectile and inner surface of barrel bore depend on projectile structures, projectiles and barrel materials. These interaction forces are one of the main reasons to cause barrel bore wear, especially armor piercing fin stabilized discarding sabot projectiles have not suitable structure for reduce wear of barrel bore. During the projectile motion, discarding sabot segments have the tendency to turn around the body of projectiles, rear edges of sabot segments are in contact with inner surface of barrel bore and the obturator is also more compressed than the other projectile types. All actions of obturator and sabot on barrel bore to cause the atypical wear are the main reason to reduce the service life of the weapon. But action calculation process of obturator and sabot are very difficult because of materials deformation state charge is very difficult to define. This paper will analyze full interaction process of projectile 3BM-9 movement in the barrel bore using ANSYS to define full action forces process of the obturator and discarding sabot segments.
