An approach for designing and implementation the landing system for aircraft
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
The development of aviation transport over the years introduces high requirements to ensure safety, accuracy and continuity in all flight phases of aircraft. The approach and landing processes are the most difficult operations to perform, especially when flying in adverse weather and low visibility conditions. The paper is aimed to introduce another approach to design a landing aid system integrated with a beam coding technique that utilizing a Rotman Lens antenna to create multiple beams, which each has a distinct steering angle and is marked by using a Pseudo-Random Noise code. By generating numerous microwave beams coverage full field of view, the introduced technique improves the resolution of angular in finding the direction of aircraft and provided additional information to support the landing process safer. Practical measurement is conducted to verify the usefulness of the proposed system. Based on the obtained results, the system is suitable for future applications in aviation.
