Synoptic Situations and Their Influence on Airport Visibility in the Czech Republic
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
This paper analyses synoptic situations over the Czech Republic and their impact on visibility changes at selected airports. The classification of synoptic situations was conducted based on the Weather Type Classification of the German Meteorological Service (DWD), while visibility was assessed based on METAR and SPECI reports from 2014 to 2023. Using statistical methods and visualizations, the dependence between various types of synoptic situations and the frequency of visibility changes was identified. By combining climatological analysis with visibility data significant for air traffic, the article provides valuable insights for aviation meteorologists The conclusions of this paper contribute to understanding trends in synoptic situations and their practical impacts on air traffic.
