The Visegrad Military Medicine Conference (VIMIMED) 2024 conference focuses on the topic of Current challenges for military medical support. The chosen topic of the conference undoubtedly reflects the current situation concerning the geopolitical situation and the apparent need for fundamental changes in the system and tactics of providing medical support for military operations, especially within the medical treatment and evacuation chain in combat conditions. Surgeon Generals present the current situation of the Military Medical Service in V4 countries, the national representatives present the concepts of pre-hospital care from the point of injury to the transfer of the patient to the field hospital (R2B, R2E) as well as the concept of the organization, infrastructure, personnel, material equipment, and evacuation assets at ROLE 1 level.
