BARIERTEST Device for Testing Resistance of Barrier Materials against Permeation of Volatile Toxic Compounds
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
The analytical device for testing resistivity both porous and non-porous barrier membranes against permeation of volatile toxic compounds in both static and dynamic conditions within contamination of gas and liquid phase of the contaminant has been developed. This devise uses a new construction of PVDF permeation cell with in-built high sensitive either conduction or QCM sensor in horizontal montage and with polymeric detention layer. These sensors located in a tight proximity of tested barrier material enable both continual and quantitative observation of permeation not only CWAs but also many other volatile toxic industrial chemicals through porous and non-porous membranes without necessity of any leading to an external detector. A part of the new permeation device is even special software equipment enables a record and moreover on line elaboration of generated permeation data including calculation of many transport parameters, for example diffusion coefficient, breakthrough time, permeation amount, permeation rate, lag-time and so forth. All calculated parameters and courses of calculated permeation dependences are available in a record which can be printed after finishing the test. The device has been developed in the cooperation with the company of GRYF, HB, Ltd, which are also its producer and supplier. Permeation cells and device are protected as an industrial design.
