The authors challenge the notion of technology assessment as a set of ideas and practices to be adopted en bloc. Rather, TA provides a package of inspiration that may help organizations to broadentheir missions within the field of national science, technology and innovation policy to include, for instance, parliamentary policy support, facilitation of stakeholder dialogues or citizens? participation.
