The 21st edition of the Czech Days for European Research - CZEDER 2024 conference, organised by TC Ptague in cooperation with the Ministry of Education , Youth, and Sports, was subtitled Mid-term evaluation and strategic outlook for the future of Horizon Europe. The morning session was focused on looking back at the first half of Horizon Europe and its strategic outlook (presented by Joann Drake, DG Research, EC). The objectives and focus of the JRC were presented by Saala Saastamoinen. Lucie Núñez Tayupanta from the Ministry of Education and Youth, and Sports explained the activities that will allow to fully exploit the potential of the Czech Republic in international research cooperation. The session was complemented by a panel discussion with representatives of the CAS, the Ministry of Education, the Office of the Government and the Conference of Rectors. During the afternoon session, the EC representative and speakers in a follow-up panel presented and evaluated selected new tools in the implementation of Horizon Europe. The conference was complemented by a poster session with examples of successful Czech coordinators or participants in Horizon Europe projects.
