Deals with rural tourism ? a form of tourism, which has been developing recently, especially abroad. That form of tourism is not very widespread, although there is great potential in it. The aim of this thesis is to find out the possibilities as well asthe insufficiencies by means of a questionnaire. The questionnaire is designed for the owners and/or the entrepreneurs of rural destinations. The first part of the questionnaire focuses on the matters of ownership, running the business, promotion, internet services etc. The subsequent part of the questionnaire gathers the information about the capacity of the places, the types and prices of accommodation and board, and the facilities. It also surveys the surroundings of the place ? both natural and cultural sights. The survey resulted in confirmation of the antecedent hypotheses. The level of the rural tourism has been improving.
