The measuring of efficiency in education has always been difficult. Educational institutions or university departments have different multiple objectives, resources, etc. These objectives may be built on short-term or long-term outcomes. In our contribution, we have compiled the Data Envelopment Analysis model (DEA) for evaluating publication and research efficiency at the Faculty of Economics and Management (FEM) CULS. The measured units (DMUs) are 12 FEM departments. The inputs of the model are represented by Ph.D. students, Teaching Assistants + Assistant Professors, Associate Professors and Professors, measured on a position-year scale. The model has the same categories for the outputs. Outputs are measured by points from publication and research activities. These points are based on the most up-to-date files that refer to Research and Development results published between 2006 and 2010. These results were officially published by the Research and Development Council in January 2012
