There are significant differences in the height of gross domestic product (GDP) per capita, income per capita, unemployment rate, in the economy structure among regions in European Union (EU) and in the Czech Republic (CR). These disparities have to be balanced in order to ensure economic growth and competitiveness. Therefore, the structural policy was established in the EU. The article assesses the efficiency of the structural policy of the EU in the CR, particularly operational programmes Human resources and employment (HREOP) and Transport. We come to the conclusion, that the influence of the finances is statistically significant in case of subsidies from HREOP and number of employed and employment rate in 2011. In case of OP Transport the statistically significant influence is only with finances from year 2010 on GDP in a year 2010.
