Dealing with wastewater in the Czech Republic in relation to root zone wastewater treatment plants
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
This paper aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the existing water quality protection in the Czech Republic in relation to a specific process of cleaning wastewater through root zone wastewater treatment plants. These types of wastewater treatmentplants have been in the Czech Republic since 1989 and are designed for both municipalities with several hundred residents, and for domestic individual use. This is an ecological alternative for cleaning daily wastewater, which has become an integral part of environmental protection. This problem is currently being examined in particular from a water management, environmental and biological perspective. However, the aim of this paper is to provide a comprehensive overview of related legislation in the Czech Republic and implementation of specific root wastewater plant projects. The paper also provides a brief description of how such a root zone wastewater plant operates and its advantages and disadvantages compared to conventional waste
