The Czech Republic belongs to the group of countries called the Visegrad Group together with Poland, Slovakia, and Hungary. Mutual foreign trade is very important for these economies for Czechia it comprises more than 15 percent of total foreign trade. The Czech Republic has long been a country with stable production and consumption of beet sugar. The aim of this text was to analyze the foreign trade in beet sugar among Czechia and the remaining V4 countries. The research has shown that Czechia is a net importer in beet sugar trade among these economies and (with the exceptions of 2000 and 2010) realizes a comparative disadvantage from mutual trade.
