Lonchopteridae In: Barták, M., Vaňhara, J., (eds.) Diptera in an Industially Affected Region (North Bohemia, Bílina and Duchcov Environs) I
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
Six species of Lonchopteridae have been found in the study area, representing 66.7 % of the total Czech fauna. The more common species in the area are, as expected, L. lutea and L. bifurcata, which are by far the most common species throughout the CzechRepublic. The localities supporting the most diverse lonchopterid species spectrum appear to be Holibka (5 spp.) and floodplain woods near Duchcov (4 spp.). The absence of two rare species (L. nigrociliata and L. meijerei) is not surprising, as both these species are connected with river banks (the vegetation corridor of the Bílina River, the only river in the study area, is very damaged). The last Central European species not found, L. strobli, may be expected to occur in the study area (probably in localities 1 or 4) because it is known to occur in the German part of Krušné hory Mts. The most interesting finding is the mass occurrence of L. nitidifrons in floodplain woods near Duchcov, observed in Sept., 1997. Mass occurrence is somet
