Altogether 15 species of the family Opomyzidae was found in the study area, which represents 68.2 % of species known at present in the Czech Republic (75 % of the known fauna of Bohemia). Most species found are European in distribution (6 species, 40 %),followed by temperate and North European species (4 species, 26.7 %), smaller proportion belongs to each: temperate European and temperate and South European species (both 2 species, 13.3 %), only one species (6.7 %) has Palaearctic distribution. Several species found in the localities under study are mainly thermophilous, such as Geomyza paganettii, Opomyza punctata and O. petrei. On the contrary, rather psychrophilous are e.g. Geomyza hackmani and Opomyza punctella, the latter species was published from the study area (locality No 14) as new to the Bohemia by MARTINEK (1997b).
