Název v původním jazyce
The importance of oxalic acid for cadmium detoxification in plant
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
The effect of three increased levels of cadmium (control treatment = 0, Cd1 = 30, Cd2 = 60, Cd3 = 90 mg Cd. kg-1 soil) on spinach metabolism was investigated in a pot experiment. The distribution of cadmium into main groups of compounds in spinach biomass was investigated using eight step sequential extractions. Our previous results showed the wide IR spectrum of substances in last fraction. For this reason the isolated fraction was dissolved in H2O and repeatedly shaken with n-butanol. After elimination of wide spectrum of substances extracted by n-butanol the salts of oxalic acid were characterized by using infrared spectra in H2O fraction. The Cd treatments showed as dominant IR spectra band 1317-1320 cm-1 and this band of treatments strongly contaminated was more intensive in contrast to control treatment and Cd1 treatment. The results confirmed an important role of Cd precipitation by oxalic acid in plant detoxification. High difference between Cd concentration of control treatmen
