Field and pot study on changes in herbicide-resistance profile of Apera spica-venti as the consequence in changes of cultural practices and chemical control measures. Final report for DuPont CZ s.r.o.
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
The study conducted in the field aimed to monitor the effectiveness of the herbicide management strategy against Apera spica-venti and if such a strategy is to be sustainable in the longer term. Additionally, many studies suggested that herbicide resistance is mostly shaped by local variation in herbicide application programmes. In the Czech Republic, the selection for resistance to ALS-inhibitors in A. spica-venti has mostly been caused by chlorsulfuron. The frequency of resistant plants for one population can significantly differ. Herbicide selective pressure can increase the proportion of the population that is resistant at an individual field level. Finally, it is also important to recognize that from the farmer´s perspective, the weed infestationis of the same importance as the proportion of the resistant population. As a consequence, the objective of this study was to test the effects of cultural practices ? herbicide and crop rotation - on A. spica-venti density and susceptibil
