Heifer rearing is an integral part of dairy herd turnover. The method od heifer rearing and length rearing period determine the cost and quality of heifers entering the dairy herd and replacing culled or problém cows. Dairy herds need enough replacementheifers. Therefore, the proper rearing management has a considerable impact on farm profitability. Nevertheless, the heifer rearing os often neglected in dairy herd management. The aim od this thesis is to define consequences of heifer rearing managementdecisions, on the economic model of herd dynamics in biological context, developed for this purpose. The database with heifer rearing data was evaluated using software developed by ourselves with SAS 9.2 and systém of general procedures supported by MSExcel and R-software. The sourece data for the evaluation of heifer rearing and the subsequent production and reproductive performance were obtained from 2 farms (ŠZP Lány - Czech University of Life Sciences Prague, and Netluky Prague-Uhř
