Pathotypes of Plasmodiophora brassicae causing damage to oilseed rape in the Czech Republic and Poland
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
Winter oilseed rape (Brassica napus) is important crop in the Czech Republic and Poland. Clubroot disease caused by pathogen Plasmodiophora brassicae has been a problem in vegetable production in Europe for centuries. However, the disease was the first recorded in the Czech Republic on oilseed rape in 2011 and is spreading. Similarly, clubroot has been an increasing concern for oilseed rape growers in Poland. Several systems have been developed to determine pathotypes of P. brassicae. The classification system of Williams consists of four differential hosts and can distinguish 16 pathotypes. The European Clubroot Differential set (EDC) consists of 15 differentials in three subsets, and pathotypes are distinguished by triplets of numbers in a denary system. The system of Somé et al. consists of three differentials and can distinguish a maximum of eight pathotypes. The aim of this study was to evaluate the pathotype composition of P. brassicae populations from the Czech Republic and Poland, and to de
