Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
This book is dedicated to farmers, scientists, and students of agriculture. It provides information on the seedling morphology for the most common weed species occurring on arable land within Central and Western Europe. The focus is mostly on annual weeds, but some perennial weed species sprouting from vegetative organs also are described. Weed seedlings are described in detail which includes the hypocotyl, cotyledons, first true leaves, and epicotyl. For grasses, ligules and auricles are also specified. Shape, colour, and hairs are described for individual plant organs. Colour photographs are provided for every species, mostly at growth stages BBCH 10, 12, and 14 to 16. Species nomenclature follows Stace (2009) but was supplemented in some cases by other sources. German and French common names are also provided. For convenience, monocotyledonous species are treated separately and are listed after dicots. In these groups, species are ordered by the length-to-width ratio of the first true leaves. A vi
