Experiments with a long-term fertilizer application were conducted on potato for 21 years with six fertilizer treatments at Humpolec, Czech Republic, during 1997-2017 to evaluate the impact of different fertilizer treatments on zinc content and uptake of potato. Tuber yield was not significantly affected by fertilizer types. The highest zinc content and uptake was recorded in plots receiving mineral fertilizers with addition of zinc while the lowest zinc content and uptake was recorded from farm yard manure and control treatments, respectively. The results also revealed that zinc content and uptake in tubers of potato become declining from the first seven years period to the final one. Thus, it could be concluded that the application of mineral fertilizer with addition of zinc led to the highest zinc content and uptake in potato tubers.
