Influence of glass fibre fabrics/epoxy hybrid adhesive layer on mechanical properties of adhesive bond
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
An experimental program describes mechanical properties of hybrid adhesive bonds created with a two-component structural adhesive and a reinforcing glass fibre fabric (GF) tested at 20, 40 and 60C. The reinforcing fabric was of a type E glass fibres which was implemented into the adhesive bonds without a treatment and with a plasma treatment with a power of 175 W and 350 W. The adhesive bonds without the reinforcing GF showed at the temperature 20C a shear tensile strength 11,51 MPa. This shear tensile strength was considerably decreased with increasing temperature. The hybrid adhesive bonds with the reinforcing GF of weights in grams 110 and 160 g/m2 showed a significant increase of the shear tensile strength, namely up of ca. 63%. An influence of the plasma treatment was not significant. The significant increase of the shear tensile strength was reached by adding the reinforcing fabric. Higher values of the shear tensile strength were reached at the hybrid adhesive bonds reinforced with the GF of t
