Growth Dynamics and the condition of Plantings of Norway Spruce on spread Windrows after chemical amelioration in locality degraded due to bulldozer soil preparation (2002 ? 2006)

This Article describes the growth of 765 plants of Norway spruce in a row on windrows in the 7th altitudinal forest zone. Plants of Norway spruce were planted out on the new spread Windrows within the frame of the partial restoration of substitutive treespecies stand on the stand Lesy Města Jirkova. There were 2 kinds of fertilizers (Silvamix Forte powder; tablets and Cererit) applied immediately after planting to support the plantation growth. The effect of fertilizers on growth dynamics compared withthe non-application sample plot was a subject of monitoring. There was a significant damage by browsing observed in 2006 up to 25% on some plots. After 5 years of monitoring the results showed that the application of Silvamix Forte had a positive influence on the average height, height increment, lowered mortality and had no effect on competition with the forest weed, and after 4 years had no influence of the yellowing of the plantation.
