Construction design of high-rise module for low-cost observation tower
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
The article deals with the drafting process of an observation tower s height module composed of low-cost wood-based materials. The wooden observation tower has a proposed height of 12,5m with ground plan dimensions of 3,5 by 3,5 m. The construction of the tower is made up of modules of a specific height. The height of one module is 1 440 mm. The total height of the tower is formed by stacking the modules on top of each other with successive vertical 90 degrees rotations around a central 2 steel rod which forms the axis. The emphasis of the design was on structural simplicity, low material consumption, the simplicity and speed of construction, as well as the realization cost of the desired structural characteristics, which can be achieved thanks to the wood-based materials and the construction possibilities. The construction design was verified by calculating the structural assessment according to the method of limit states and the structure is designed for climatic loads (wind, snow) for the selected
