Natural and Constructed Wetlands. Nutriens, heavy metals and energy cycling, and flow
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
Wetlands provide a wide variety of ecosystem services and are considered among the most valuable ecosystems on the Earth. Constructed wetlands for wastewater treatment are systems that use for wastewater treatment the same processes occurring in natural wetlands but do so in a more controlled way. Both natural and constructed wetlands play important roles on the landscape. The volume contains papers that were presented during the 9th international workshop “Nutrient Cycling and Retention in Natural and Constructed Wetlands” held at Třeboň, Czech Republic in March 2015. The major aim of this workshop has always been to bring together researchers and scientists working in natural and constructed wetlands because these two groups usually do not often meet. The previous editions of this workshop showed that the combination of natural and constructed wetlands is beneficial for all participants of the workshop. The book chapters deals with many aspects of a wetland research such as effect of human activity
