Abstract The pig production is an activity capable of generating a huge amount of data. The characteristics of intensive production, is determined for the convenient collect records, and in fact is a practice on intensive farms, which registered the maintechnical parameters (food and health) production indicator; They have influence pork production costs. A questionnaire-based survey will conducted in fattening pigs farms in Antioquia the main region producer of Colombia. The diagnosis will allow in anobjective form identify the critical factors of food sources and their relationship with nutritional disorders, which affect the performance of pig production systems in Colombia. This information?s will provide a basis for developing strategies with the purpose of have an efficient production, quality and safety product and decrease production costs, thus respond effectively and efficiently to the productive sector.
