The City Surfer Office Gallery invites you to the opening of the exhibition Honestly, It’s Not Just a Room, which shifts attention to the gallery space itself. The exhibition is organized by architect and artist-researcher Savka Marenić in collaboration with artists Nika Datiashvili and Jonáš Balcar. It will be open on Saturday, December 13, from 12:00 p.m., until 10:00 p.m. The space is not just the backdrop of the exhibition, but its main focus – through its sounds, rhythms, light, and subtle phenomena that often escape our attention, yet shape our experience. The project is based on reflections on the ecology of attention, acoustics, and the aesthetics of care, where care is understood as a gesture of slowing down and as a way of stepping out of the pace of today’s performance-driven society. The exhibition invites gentleness, listening, and an awareness of relationships that are subtle, interrupted, ambiguous, or many-voiced. It is nothing extraordinary. Just a space that can create its own scenario if we allow it to. And sometimes, have no script at all.
