Der Autor hinterfragt in dieser pointierten Textsammlung nationale Geschichtsbilder und beleuchtet die Architektur Mitteleuropas aus transnationaler Perspektive. Er zeigt, wie die Akteure aus Tschechien und Deutschland Kunst und Baukultur gemeinsam prägten, und setzt sich mit Migration, Ideenzirkulation und stilistischen Einflüssen auseinander. Sein Ansatz überwindet nationale Grenzen und trägt zu einem neuen Verständnis der mitteleuropäischen Kunstgeschichte bei.
