Organometallic Catalyst Immobilization and its Use for Selective Hydrogenations
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
The main disadvantage of organometallic catalysts used in selective hydrogenations (e.g. low thermal stability, limited reuse possibility) can be eliminated by their immobilization on solid materials. Furthermore, it was observed preserving or even improving their properties (especially high selectivity) after their immobilization. Four types of organometallic substances immobilizations are available ? the immobilization via hydrogen bonds, the immobilization by ionic exchange, the immobilization by a covalent bond formation, and the physical immobilization, so called ?ship in a bottle?. Silica materials enriched on silanol groups are often used as the supports for the immobilization by hydrogen bonds, providing the metal complexes containing a ligandcapable hydrogen bonds formation. The immobilization by ionic exchange can be achieved on ionic and anionic clays for charged complexes. Silica materials are usually used as the supports for the immobilization by a covalent bond.
