SPME of Volatile Biomarkers Emitted by Conifers
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
Several studies concerned with the influence of atmospheric pollutants and other stress factors (such as ozone) on the conifers have documented an increased emission of (mono)terpenes and some other volatile compounds into ambient air by needles. Concentrations of these biomarkers are closely related to the extent of damage of needles cuticular surface layers which represent a natural barrier against unfavorable conditions. In our study solid phase microextraction (SPME) was investigated with the aim torecognize its applicability for the assessment of air pollution in localities involved in national monitoring program (atmospheric POPs are here regularly measured by classic large volume samplers as well as by passive samplers represented by local vegetation). The work presented describes not only the optimization of SPME procedure but also of sample handling and sample storage conditions. Using several kinds of fibres factors influencing performance of SPME (extraction temperature, ex
