Název v původním jazyce
Development of lateral flow immunoassay for specific detection of Listeria monocytogenes.
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
Listeria spp. are widely distributed in the environment and they frequently contaminate food, but only L. monocytogenes has been recognized as an important foodborne pathogen for man causing serious infections called listeriosis. The other Listeria species can be regarded as non-pathogenic, except in occasional, rare, circumstances. Listeria monocytogenes is able to survive food processing technologies and this makes it a serious threat to food safety. Standard identification of Listeria is based on selective enrichments and subsequent biochemical analyses and (is) difficult, laborious, and time-consuming. The aim of our work was to develop a rapid and easy-to-use method for specific detection of Listeria monocytogenes. Preparation of specific antibodyfor Listeria monocytogenes detection raised against Internalin B was described previously by Karamonova et al*.In this work we present the development and testing of a novel, easy-to-use lateral flow immunoassay (LFIA) for the specific d
