New concept of electrically driven back flush unit for membrane filtration
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
Fouling and clogging of membrane resulting in poor flux is the main draw-back of all separation membranes. It is documented by large number of proposed and used systems for flux enhancement as e.g. high tangential velocity, various mechanical inserts andbaffles functioning as turbulence promoters, vibration and ultrasound for enhancement of shear stress on membrane, frequent chemical and mechanical cleaning of membrane etc. One of the most effective way still seems to be back-flushing of membrane. Theforward filtration movement of permeate is periodically reversed to back-flushing of membrane in the opposite direction. The back-pulse must effectively clean membrane pores and in the same time there must be used just minimum of permeate, since the back-flushed permeate is lost, moreover all dead times between forward filtration and back flushing must be avoided. The new electrically driven back flush unit was engineered and manufactured by Mikropur, s.r.o. to tackle these problems. In
