Temperature dependence of limiting activity coefficient of 2-methyl-2-propanol in water
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
This work presents temperature dependence of limiting activity coefficients for 2-methyl-2-propanol in water in the temperature range from the normal melting point of pure tert- butyl alcohol to the normal boiling point of water. In this work, limiting activity coefficients were measured from 26 to 98°C using three experimental techniques. Headspace analysis (26-40°C), modified Rayleigh distillation (50-70°C) and method of circulation vapor-liquid equilibrium still (80-100°C) were alternatively appliedto match well their applicability conditions. Results obtained show a good precision (3-5 %). Our new data were combined with available literature data on limiting activity coefficients, calorimetric partial molar excess enthalpies and partial molar excess heat capacities at infinite dilution gathered during a comprehensive literature search. All the experimental data were subjected to a critical evaluation and processed simultaneously by correlating them four-parameter equation..
