Název v původním jazyce
Determination of low B-activity of 99-technetium in the bentonite leachate
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
Radionuclide 99Tc in the form of 99TcO4- represents stable oxidation state under aerobic conditions and is very soluble in the aqueous medium. The high mobility of the 99TcO4- anion must be therefore considered as long time hazardous radionuclide for thegeosphere. The aim of our study has been the investigation of retention of 99Tc- on the bentonite. It is generally known that bentonites possess ans excellent cation exchange capacity and on the other hand a poor uptake of anions. Several additives (e.g. Fe, FeS) were added to the bentonite mixtures for the increasing of sorption capacity of this material. The sorption yield of technetium on these studied bentonite mixtures was higher than 99%. Due to this fact the G-activity of 9Tc in the bentonite leachate was not higher than 2 Bq/mL approximately. Two different radioanalytical methods were applied for the determination of the low B-activity of 99Tc. First method was established on the measurement of the pulse counter of 99Tc by B-sc
